Urban mobility in Rwanda is expensive, inefficient, and polluting. 60 % of Kigali trips < 5 km, but most use motorcycles or cars. Short trips cost up to 25 % of a commuter’s daily income. Traffic and emissions keep rising. People need a clean, affordable way to move around their cities.
